Question – CAE writing part 2 review:
Send us a review of a recent trip.
Answer:
The Giant’s Causeway is situated at the northerly tip of Northern Ireland and is worth the trip away from the hustle and bustle of Belfast to marvel at the unique rock formations that have made this area so popular. This is one of the only places in the world in which natural hexagonal rock formations are said to exist, so this is one for the avid geologists. The oddly shaped column rocks are the main reason this attraction became famous but there are plenty of other things to see in the area.
There is a gift shop and museum with exhibitions available in various languages, making this an ideal stop for international tourists. Furthermore, a courtesy bus for those who are a little unsteady on their feet, shuttles visitors from the entrance to the main site. This really is a place for people of all ages to enjoy.
Sightseeing is something I absolutely thrive on, so I must mention that I opted to drive up the County Antrim coast from Belfast to get to the Giant’s Causeway. This is a slightly longer route, but you can stop off in one of the many villages and even check out some of the locations where Game of Thrones was filmed!
Lastly, it does get very chilly up north during the winter months, so your best bet if travelling with young or elderly family members is to head up during the spring or summer. In my opinion that’s when the coast line is at its most beautiful.
